Wedding Photos and Videos

Today, most nuptials hire professionals to document their wedding. They ask for cameramen to take photos and videos of their memorable day, beginning from the time they prepare themselves until the reception ends. Some couples also opt to have a photo shoot taken about a week before their wedding day.

For the pre-wedding photo shoot, you need to brainstorm with your photographer, with your friends and with your partner for an ideal location. The location (or locations, if you opt for several) will help you know what you should wear. For this, you can ask advice from the designer who is making your gown. Talk, too, with your make-up artist and hair stylist. Make sure you have everything you need with you on the day of your shoot, especially your various outfits. If your location is outdoors, be sure to check the weather forecast. A wet garden will actually look beautiful in a photograph, but if you will be shooting on an island, you need to be sure that you and the whole crew will have a safe ride.

For the videos and photos of your wedding day itself, you and your partner must also discuss with the crew beforehand. You need to talk about important guests who must have photos. You also have to know that there are two types of photos and videos that can be taken during a wedding. One is the traditional type, which means posed and arranged pictures. The other type is photojournalistic, which focuses on candid moments and pictures that tell a story. The best way to go is to choose both types.

Many companies will compile your photos in a wedding album and create a video. Make sure you ask if these, as well as extra copies, are included in the package.
